Giant Teddy bear for valentine

What would childhood be like without teddy bears? It’s simply too hard to imagine what life would be like without these tried and true hug gable companions. Since teddy bears made their first appearance in 1902, children and adults alike have realized that these plush toys are more than just a stuffed animal; they are daily companions that go on to share every aspect of our lives, from the triumphs to the disasters.

During 1907 in the very earl productions of the teddy bear, Boston journalist with New England Magazine, Caroline Tickner, captured the very essence of these joyful plush toys when she wrote: “The Teddy Bear has come in his perfect grey hair to fit into the many chubby arms which extend to him. He is not only bear-like enough to carry him above juvenile criticism but he is possessed of this which fit him eminently for youthful companionship..”

Like the giant bears that they are, these plush toys were based upon the grizzly bear, thus it’s no surprise that giant plush bears would eventually become a staple of the well established plush bear world. While different manufactures from all world have drawn on other types of bears for inspiration in the design of the plush bear, all sizes of these beloved plush toys have come out of that influence, giant teddy bear notwithstanding.

Giant plush bears are no different than the smaller versions — there is just that much more of them to hug and snuggle up with. Many giant bears have posable bodies along with movable arms and legs making them all the more fun for their owner. Despite their different designs and various transformations over the years, plush bears have been so popular that they have found their way into comic strips, books and even songs. In 1906, for instance, the teddy-bear craze took over the United States. Hundreds of songs were composed about these tiny, lovable toys, including “The Teddy Bear’s Picnic,” which was composed by John W. Branton in 1907. Following this, there were reports from all over the U.S. that shops were unable to keep up with the demand for the cuddly creatures.

Giant teddy bears are a product of the aforesaid time when the Teddy bear mania took over to world Both children and adults simply can’t get enough of these classic stuffed animals and because of the their ‘required’ need to be hugged and cared for, smaller versions of these plush toys were no longer going to do. And so, giant bears were born and luckily for us, they’re here to stay.
